Research Group
GEOINCA is a research group specialized in geomatics focused on natural resource management. Geomatics (composed of "geo," meaning "Earth," and "matics," meaning "automation") is the science that deals with the management of geographic information using information and communication technologies. Management includes the acquisition, modeling, processing, storage, retrieval, analysis, exploitation, representation, and dissemination of geodesy, photogrammetry, remote sensing, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and Spatial Data Infrastructure. At GEOINCA, we specialize in applying a variety of geomatic techniques to the management of mining, agricultural, and forestry resources, as well as in construction, civil engineering, and the conservation of heritage.
GEOINCA is composed of a team of professionals dedicated to research projects. At GEOINCA, we would like to introduce ourselves, and from this page, we provide information about the professionals who make up the research team.
Geoinca also hosts visiting researchers, both national and international, who collaborate in the development of our project.
Geoinca Maps is part of the tools that this Research Team makes publicly available with the aim of providing improvement and information services. You will find tools such as manuals, apps, and articles, as well as download links and explanatory videos.
